It's international week at my school, so we host a whole bunch of stuff ranging from sushi making classes, salsa lessons, Tanzanian dancing, French performers, and in this photo, Italian performers (Commedia dell'arte).

They were a slapstick act, literally, here you see the guy in white about to whack the other over the arse with a prop bat made up of two hinged sticks that slap sharply together, aka. slapstick.
