Spencer St. Station is Melbourne's main train and bus centre, Flinder St. is mainly of local transport while Spencer hosts the rural services like V-line and coaches to the snow and such. It's undergoing redevelopment, partly to do with it's upcoming 150th anniversary, but also just to bring the station into the 21st century.
